Next stop on my Musical Quest! #Jazz - This is my interpretation of Mr P.C. By @John Coltrane - I am going out of my comfort zone learning a new grip, traditional grip, on drums. I have to retrain my brain. It’s #HARD! I really tried to push my #saxophone playing too trying to get a jazzy feeling in the notes. I have now been playing #sax for 11 months. The @Drum Channel - Invited me to be interviewed and jam with two legendary drummers, Chad Smith from the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' and Gregg Bissonette who drums in Ringo Starrs 'All Starr band'. It was pretty incredible!!!

My first singing and guitar playing video. Hope you like it. What else should I cover?
Experimenting trying to find my voice sound. I double tracked my vocal which gives it a phasing effect. I also added added echo, reverb, EQ, a bit of distortion and then ran it all through an amp to create the vocal sound.

#MegWhite is my #Hero. The first day I got drums my dad showed me the video of #sevennationarmy by The White Stripes. I saw Meg playing the drums and thought she was the coolest person in the world. I still do. The more I learn about music, the more I realise that songs, and art, are created to wake emotions deep inside the soul. No matter how fast my fills get or the number rudiments I learn. If I can’t write a song that moves people, then can’t call myself an artist. Meg and @officialjackwhite wrote some of the best songs in #rock #history. They moved me at 5 years old to want to play the drums and still move me today! My screams are for you Meg! You are and always will be my role model and hero! Nandi x.

Part 2 - Caravan is the hardest song I have learnt, so far... I am so proud to have been invited on to @DrumeoOfficial at 13. I wanted to show everyone what I am currently capable of, and have as much fun as possible. I decided to play the hardest song I knew. It’s tricky as it’s really fast and there is a lot to remember. I need a lot of stamina to play triplets on the hi-hat. Also the triplets on the kick are very difficult to perform at this speed. I gave it my best shot. I played to my tempo and I am proud of my performance.
